And I especially love that you know exactly wear you’re opting out of historical accuracy. It wasn’t until I started doing research for this project that I found out there were hanfu revival groups! And now I have the “I’ll Make A Man Out of You” song stuck in my head. I have to say though, Zhang Ziyi is not my favorite actress, even though she does a good job. The sleeveless vest and the long, open-sleeved cloak completed the ensemble, capturing the essence of everyday Han Chinese femininity.
